Abstract

Introduction: it is estimated that 2 out of every 1000 live births suffer from cerebral palsy worldwide. Many of these people will not be able to develop a gait pattern, which is why robotics in neurorehabilitation is of great im-portance, in this case the Lokomat, which will facilitate a gait pattern more suited to the characteristics of the user.
his repeated practice provides access to motor learning that together with neuroplasticity will be responsible for generating changes in these people. The objective of the case study is to analyze the difference in joint ranges pre-post intervention with Lokomat in patients with cerebral palsy. Likewise, to assess whether there are changes du-ring the gait of these patients. Material and method: the intervention consisted of a total of 17 training sessions with the Lokomat lasting 35 minutes each. The main variables studied have been the joint ranges of both hips and knees in all phases of gait. Results: positive results have been obtained in joint ranges, in the gait cycle and in spasticity, although they have not been statistically significant. Conclusion: Lokomat-assisted gait training has beneficial effects for people with neurological disorders.
