HOMEOPATHY AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY

Abstract

We can define the homeopathy as the portion of the medicine that uses during the treatment infinitesimal doses of substances capable of provoking, in healthy people and with homologous characteristics, similar symptoms to those that the sickness provoke.

We wanted to include an article about homeopathy into a physical therapy journal because as health professionals we have to know this kind of therapy whose effectivity is supported by a wide scientific and researching activity. 

 In the article we have described the basic items about the theoretical and practical foundations of the homeopathy and subsequently we have added a set of bibliographical references about the investigations realized in the treatment with homeopathy of pathologies usually treated by the physiotherapists.

To conclude, homeopathy gives a valuable help to the treatment of physical therapy meanly in those chronic pathologies that can be benefited of a pharmacological help. In these cases, the majority of the medicaments used by the allopathy medicine (corticosteroid, anti-inflammatory...) have plentiful secondary effects that make they cannot be used without limit. The homeopathy guarantees us a total absence of secondary effects even during long periods and a therapeutic action that tries the cure and not only the simple abolition of the symptoms.
