Abstract

The application of a Physical Therapy Treatment is usually based on an empiric aspect, which is first clinically and then scientifically demonstrated.

The aim of this study is to measure the decreasing of pain with the application of different «classic» methods of Physical Therapy in comparison with the application of «impact Waves®.

We had selected 12 patients with similar clinical features but different pathologies; their pain was treated by using «classic» methods of Physical Therapy, but it has not disappeared yet.

In this article we explain the methodology of the study and its results; but first, we make an intro¬ duction about the neurophysiology of pain, the scales to measure it and the scientific bases of «impact Waves®
