Stress is a general response of the organism when facing internal or external demands that could be threatening. It consists of a mobilization of the psychological and physiological resources to be able to face them demands and, in this way, stress is an adaptative response that can be beneficial to maintain or increase health. Nevertheless, the excess of stress, produced either as a consequence of the individual's exposition to many and very impactive stressful situations or because the lack of appropriate resources to face them, like organism tiredness, cand damage your health, becoming one of the main problems of all times.
In this article theoretical revision about stress takes part, and his harmful effects and the main health alterations concerning stress.
