This paper aims to be a practical guideline for the physiotherapist on the daily care of this condition and open to the modifications and contributions from the professional experience and medical developments.
At our unit, we do a functional response assessment at the beginning, midway and end of the treatment, modifying the plan of action according to the scoring on the functional response scale. The establishment of protocols is aimed at helping the daily work of the physiotherapist establishing a logic sequence on the assessment and management of the patient allowing for adaptability of the treatment.
