Abstract

Introduction. Among health workers predominate affections in, after lumbar injuries, worse the prevalence of omalgia around 32 %. Physiotherapists presents numerous risk factors of musculoskeletal shoulder problems. We report case of postraumatic arthritis in shoulder, valuing the results of the intervention, based on analitycal method of Physiotherapy according to Sohier. Presentation: female patient, 33 years old, physiotherapist with arthritis in left shoulder, afflicted of shoulder pain. The patient attended to 20 combined treatment sessions´ based on analytical physiotherapy as Sohier described, and continued home sessions (muscular strength and ergonomics study). Re-sults: pasive pain disappeared after treatment, active pain decreased. Passive range of motion reached the highest score early, and clinic tests become negative early too. Muscular strength didn´t reach the highest score and continued working. Function improved notably. Discussion/Conclusions: analytical Physiotherapy based on Sohier´s Concept in shoulder´s inflammation is a good therapeutical option because of its early effectiveness, preventing in-flamed tissues, and its ergonomics characteristics, a method simple and rested.
