Abstract

Nerve crural damage usually occurs after surgery in the minor pelvis. Conservative treatment of this sort of lesions has included not only passive therapeutic methods, but active therapies as well. Among the passive techniques used, there have been proposed few therapeutic modalities which directly enance fibre nerve regeneration. With this intention, the present paper shows how to use low frecuency laser therapy in a case of axonotmesis of the crural nerve. In the results it was observed that the use of this modality stimulates nerve regeneration, accelerating the patient's rehabilitation.
