HOW THE PHYSIOTHERAPIST CAN HELP THE HEMIPLEGIC PATIENT DURING HIS/HER PHASE ACUTE TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFICULTIES PRESENT IN THEIR DAILY LIVES

We want to respond to the question that is most frequency asked by the hemiplejic patient and their families, and also the people who them are around.
If an hemiplejic patient who is half paralyzed, why can't they be more independent, helping themselves more, using the part that is not paralyzed?
We present two clinical cases to explain the alterations which present hemiplejic patient, to understand the difficulties that they present during the acute phase and how a suitable physiotherapy treatment can improve their mobility in their daily activities.
The physiotherapist can help the hemiplejic patient to understand their illness, and to feel understood at the same time and this redound in their following recuperation.
