Abstract

Nowadays, there are a lot of cases concerning to patients of Multiple Sclerosis, which are discharged from hospital after the acute phase, without a follow-up anymore.
As this is a chronic pathology and the national Health System is not able to attend these patients for life, we have considered to look for another alternative, to treat them. For this reason, the Faculty of Physiotherapy in A Coruna and the Multiple Sclerosis Association from A Coruna, have started a voluntary programmed to treat these patients at home, in order to improve their quality of life.
Firstly, it is explained what kind of programmed is going to be showed, and what it is related to multiple Sclerosis. This is the main justification to propose a physiotherapist treatment at home and in the state health-service hospital, besides to carry out a health education programmed to the family and to the community.
