COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE RESULTS OF AMPUTEE PROSTHETICS QUADRANGULAR LACE FEMORALS AND CAT-CAM

This study deals with the results in the prosthesizing of above-knee amputees carried out with quadrangular sockets of total contact and suction in connection to other prosthesizing with Cat-Cam sockets. This study tries to evaluate the effects obtained according to a table of functions feasible by those patients at the end of their functional recuperation, and what is more relevant, the quality of the realization of those functions. For this, the patients were divided into two groups: the patients belonging to the first group were prosthesized with the classic quadrangular sockets whereas the patients from the second group were prosthesized with the Cat-Cam socket, after having followed the usual welfare protocols with initial assessment (in which psychosocial as well as physical and environmental parameters are included) and final assessment, according to our own assessment scale.
