Abstract

Objective: To investigate pattern and laws that determinate the information consumption in the articles of the journal Cuestiones de Physiotherapies between the years 1995 to 2000.
Material and methods: An analysis was performed on the 1.558 reference downloaded from 134 papers by the journal Cuestiones de Physiotherapies. With SPSS was generated for the management of the information. It was determined: type of documents, date, country, Bradford's journal and areas, insularity and indice de obsolescencia.
 Results: 54.55% of analyzed references are books and 39.67% are articles of journal. The nucleus of Bradford is constituted by three journals: Physiotherapies, Physical Therapy and Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The insularity is of 52.02%.
 Conclusions: The distribution of the bibliographic citations available from the articles in Cuestiones de Physiotherapies is something different to the usual pattern the others journal of Physical Therapy and related areas.
