CONTRIBUTIONS OF QUALITATIVE RESEARCH TO PHYSIOTHERAPY

The qualitative research provides information about the real work of physical therapists. This kind of research pays special attention to the context and the way people (physical therapists, users of their services, etc) describe their feelings and experiences in the clinical assistance. In this article, besides describing the main characteristics of the qualitative research, the benefits of this methodology are especially analyzed because of its value to learn more about the physical therapy as an art and science.
