THE EDITIORIAL QUALITY OF CUESTIONES DE FISIOTERPIA JOURNEL ACCORDING TO LATINDEX

The visibility and diffusion of a periodic publication depends on turning it out to be gathered in the automated systems of information storage. In order to get this, it becomes indispensable the fulfilment of a series of criteria and minimal quality conditions.
Objective: to evaluate whether the Cuestiones de Fisioterapia journal adjust to the quality standards defined in the System Latindex.
Material and method: first of all, 33 parameters of publishing quality gathered in to the System La¬
index are analyzed. Then, the last three fascicles published of the Cuestiones de Fisioterapia journal are checked and finally, it is quantified the criteria those publications fulfil as a whole, partially and emphisizing the absence of it, raising at the end improvement offers.
Results: Cuestiones de Fisioterapia assembles 19 out of the 33 criteria proposed by Latindex.
Conclusions: the incorporation of this journal into the database of the Latindex requests that those criteria related to basic characteristics, presentation of the journal, as well as management and publishing politics are improved.
