PERFETTI METHOD IN GAIT REHABILITATION AFTER A STROKE: A CASE STUDY

Introduction: gait disorders is one of the consequences of a stroke. Perfetti method has been used to rehabilitate the upper limb, however, little is known about the benefits of this method in the lower limb or the gait.. Objectives and methodology: this study (longitudinal, qualitative and observational) pretends to analyse, using Perfetti method and Viel Gait Assessment Scale, the benefits for a stroke patient with left hemiplegia. Results: after a period of six month, gait improved in both quantitative and qualitative parameters. Conclusions: Perfetti method is appropriate to rehabilitate gait in this patient.
