Abstract

Aims: study the global effectiveness of the Physiotherapy treatment in the traumatological lesions. To value the real influence of the variables sex, age, working activity, number of Physiotherapy sessions received and initial health status, in the effectiveness of the Physiotherapy treatment in traumatological lesions. Methods: observational, analytical, longitudinal and prospective study, where the study subjects were 17 patients with traumatological lesions that were getting treatment in the Physiotherapy Unit of FREMAP Clinic between 25 march and 2 may in 2008. To sense the global effectiveness of the Physiotherapy treatment, each patient made SF-36 health question-naire at the begi-nning and the end of the study. We made a descriptive analysis. For the data analysis use the signs test for the first aim. For the second one, we made a linear multiple regression model and the average difference for independent samples. Results: of 17 patients included, 17 got better, so this improvement was statistically sig nificant (p < 0.00001). Sex (-92.8, 305.2) and working activity (-644.2, 84.2) did not influence in the patient's improvement level. The regression model made with age, initial health status and number of Physiotherapy sessions like predictors variables, give us a determination coefficient R2 = 0.839. Conclusions: the traumatologic patients submissive Physiotherapy undergo significant improvements in the perceived health. The age, the initial health status of the patient and the number of Physiotherapy sessions seem to influence the final state of the patients.
